Danab Electric is a growing leader in Somalia’s energy sector, delivering safe, affordable, and sustainable electricity to homes, businesses, and communities. As we expand our
operations, we are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Sales to lead our commercial strategy, strengthen customer relationships, and drive growth across our
service areas.
This role is based in Afgooye, and the ideal candidate must be willing and committed to working and reporting from there.
Your Mission
As Head of Sales, you will play a key role in scaling our customer base, enhancing sales performance, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. You’ll be responsible
for leading a motivated sales team, creating actionable strategies, and turning commercial targets into tangible results — while actively supporting the energy needs of local
communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a high-impact sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives
- Lead, train, and supervise the sales team across multiple operational zones
- Monitor performance metrics, identify opportunities, and report results to leadership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residential, commercial, and institutional clients
- Collaborate closely with technical and operations teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities and partnerships
- Represent Danab Electric in customer engagement events and community outreach programs
- Ensure customer satisfaction and service excellence across all touchpoints

Skills and qualifications

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a senior sales or commercial leadership role, preferably in the utility or energy sector
- Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing sales teams
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Willingness to be based in and report from Afgooye
- Experience working in emerging markets or community-based services is an added advantage
