Title: Real Estate Field Agent

Location: Hargeisa, Somaliland

Reports to: Managing Director

Type: Contract (Renewable) or Full-Time

Background

Hoysame is an innovative digital platform aimed at simplifying the search for rental homes, office spaces, and commercial properties in Hargeisa. As it broadens its services, Hoysame seeks a proactive Field Agent to bridge the gap between the online platform and the offline real estate market, collaborating closely with key stakeholders in the field.

Purpose of the Role

The Real Estate Field Agent will act as the vital link between Hoysame’s online presence and the physical property market. This role focuses on:

Somaliland job market

•       Engaging with brokers, landlords, and real estate dealers

•       Collecting and verifying property listing data

•       Uploading and maintaining property details across digital channels

•       Supporting marketing and outreach initiatives

Key Responsibilities

1.    Source rental properties (homes, shops, offices) via field visits, brokers, and landlords

2.    Collect accurate and complete data: photographs, pricing, locations, property types, and features

3.    Verify ownership and availability where feasible

4.    Maintain up-to-date, correct, and comprehensive listings

5.    Regularly update the website and social media platforms with new, modified, or removed listings

6.    Promote featured properties and special offers

7.    Respond to inquiries through social media and WhatsApp

8.    Foster relationships with real estate brokers, agents, property owners, and local developers

9.    Engage business owners offering rental space

10. Advocate for the benefits of listing properties on [Hoysame/Kiro-u-Joog]

11. Assist with offline marketing (flyers, banners, business cards distribution)

12. Represent the platform at real estate events, open houses, and broker meetings

13. Enhance brand visibility and trust within Hargeisa

Skills and qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

•       Experience in real estate, sales, marketing, or field data collection

•       Good knowledge of Hargeisa neighborhoods and rental trends

•       Strong communication and interpersonal skills

•       Basic photography skills (using a smartphone) and familiarity with mobile/web apps

•       Fluency in Somali; basic English proficiency

•       Trustworthy, professional, and well-organized

•       Experience managing social media (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram)

•       Established contacts among Hargeisa real estate agents

•       Basic computer literacy (Excel, Google Forms, simple CMS)

6. Work Conditions

•       Based in Hargeisa, with regular field travel within city limits

•       Personal smartphone required (internet/data allowance may be provided)

•       Flexible working hours; weekly reporting expected

7. Deliverables

•       Weekly report summarizing added, updated, and removed property listings

•       Monthly summary of broker and landlord outreach, including property submissions

•       Comprehensive, up-to-date photo and description database of all listed properties

•       Support for a minimum of one promotional activity per month (online or offline)
