Position Title: Mechanical Work Supervisor
Number of staff Required: 3 (Three)

Reporting To: Head of Mechanical Department

Position Summary:
The Mechanical Work Supervisor will be responsible for supervising all mechanical activities related to plant operations, including the installation, repair, and maintenance of heavy industrial equipment. This position demands strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience, leadership skills, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
The candidate will play a vital role in supporting the plant’s reliability and operational efficiency through daily monitoring, team coordination, and technical oversight.
Skills and qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited technical institute.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical work within an industrial setting (e.g., cement factories, manufacturing plants, or similar heavy industries).
• Strong ability to lead teams, interpret mechanical drawings, and supervise technical tasks.
• Language proficiency: English and Arabic is highly preferable.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, plant operations, safety standards, and preventive maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate mechanical work across the cement plant, including equipment installation, servicing, and breakdown repair.
• Ensure that all work is conducted in line with technical drawings, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
• Lead a team of mechanical technicians, assigning tasks and providing day-to-day support.
• Monitor machinery performance, detect issues, and recommend timely corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and equipment history.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of mechanical tasks.
• Conduct quality inspections and enforce full PPE usage and workplace safety standards.
• Assist in the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs.
• Provide technical reports and feedback to the Head of Mechanical Department.
• Support staff development and encourage ongoing improvement in work practices.
