Position Title: STOREKEEPER
Reporting To: Area Logistics and Admin Assistant
Location: HUDUR
Job summary:
The storekeeper will Maintains receipts, records, and withdrawals. Storekeeper checks materials and supplies and reports when stock is low. Receives and unpacks materials and supplies. Additionally, Storekeeper reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.
The storekeeper is responsible for the maintenance of a department’s/organization’s storeroom, performing activities such as stocking of operational materials and supplies, inventory control and records, purchasing, and related duties as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels
• Ensure accuracy of the warehouse’s online system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns
• Track, document, and resolve any discrepancies on received orders
• Take delivery of all incoming supplies and reconcile with purchase orders and donation
• Keep up-to-date records of receipts, records, and dispatch from the main warehouses
• Responsible for packing, dispatching, labelling, and returning supplies
• Responsible for stock rotation and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
• Oversee the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and minor repairs
• Responsible for shipping cancelled or damaged items back to suppliers as appropriate
• Ensure that all goods dispatched and received by SOS are recorded in SOS standard templates and are stored and handled well.
• Manage physical receipt and paper works for donations-in-kind from other donor agencies and relay the documents further to the person in charge of finance department
• Arrange cargo deliveries to distribution sites, as well as prepare support documentation of the consignment as required.
• Contribute conducting quarterly physical stock taking as per SOS standards and produce quarterly warehouse reports as required.
• Produce monthly stock report and advice the logistics Officer and Project coordinators
• To keep up to date records and files on all stocks in soft copy tool of Stock Monitoring Sheet and disseminate store records once a month to all users in your location.
• Implement stock management procedures in main warehouses and sub-stores; ensure that the supplies are stored and rotated in an appropriate way, ensuring adequate controls are in place and regular stock checks are carried out to validate the systems, and update on a quarterly basis.
Skills and qualifications
Qualification and Job Competencies
• Bachelor degree in Procurement, Business Administration or Diploma with 2 years of experiences.
• Substantial knowledge of standard logistics (warehouse management) and practices required.
• Good knowledge of technical skills in IT
• At least 2 years previous field experience in NGO, ideally in a similar role.
• Previous experience in security
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving techniques
• Ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations.
• Ability to adapt within the working environment.
• Ability to work in a team setting.
• Good in speak and written English language.
Practical Skills:
