SRCS (Bisha Cas) is seeking a qualified candidate for the following position;
Job Title: Migration Officer
Grade: Band 3
Reporting to: Regional Branch RFL Officer.
Duty Station: Lowyado/ Harirad, Sub- Branch Office (Awdal).
Posting Date: 27th August-25.
Posting Expiry Date: 10th September-25.
Contract Type: 1 year, possibly with an extension.
Overall, Job Purpose
Provide administrative support in the implementation of the RFL programme to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Facilitate the flow of RFL data and information from ICRC and Branches through the family links global network to trace missing persons and restore family links. Provide coordination support, organize meetings and maintain proper filing, storage and back -up system of programme documents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Program Planning & Implementation
· Responsible of Delivering and promoting RFL Services in the region.
· Provide support in the registration, counting and sorting of RFL documents and messages received from the ICRC and Branches
· Develop, update and maintain a database of missing persons and utilize conventional tools through the family links global network such as RCM to trace missing persons and restore family links
· Ensure adequate treatment, follow-up and filing of RFL cases according to established procedures, including full respect for the consent, best interest and protection of beneficiaries
· Set up and maintain proper filing, storage and back -up system of programme documents and records, for timely dispatch and retrieval when requested.
· Assist in drafting correspondence/memo, invitation letters and email when needed
· Arrange meetings/workshops and any gatherings related to the programme as required
· Provide coordination support in the event of emergencies and disasters
· Prepare field trip reports to follow up on RFL Activities.
Operations Management
· Assist with event planning and implementation support with programme counterparts
· Support logistic arrangements for project activities in coordination with the Administration Department
· Maintain proper inventory records of goods and equipment and ensure that relevant control systems are in place and complied with
External Relationships/Partnerships
· Update and maintain contact lists essential for the RFL programme operations
· Attend relevant events to enhance RFL programme activities
· Perform other related duties as assigned by the SRCS Senior Management
· Develop and deliver training programs on SAF and security management for staff.
· Promote a culture of security awareness and best practices within the organization.
· Work closely with other departments to integrate SAF principles into their operations.
· Liaise with external stakeholders, including law enforcement and security agencies, to enhance security measures.
· Participate in security-related meetings and forums.
· Maintain accurate records of security incidents, assessments, and actions taken.
· Prepare regular reports on SAF implementation and security management activities.
· Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Skills and qualifications
Qualifications
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional practice in Community Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences. Managing previous project is addition value to the candidate.
Required Job Experience and Competencies
· Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a humanitarian or development organization as well as experience in the field of protection, child protection, support to migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, or social welfare.
· Demonstrating consistency in upholding integrity and ethics.
· Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to the fundamental principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
· Acting as a team player and facilitating team work. Consistently approaches work with energy and positive attitude. Remain calm, in control and good humored even under pressure;
· Respond positively to critical feedback and differing points of views.
· Effective communications and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in computer office packages word, excel, power point.
· Excellent planning, coordination and reporting skills, with the ability to organize a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities
· Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, in the event of emergencies.
· Competency in Internet and Microsoft Office systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Fluency in English, and Somali both written and spoken.
· Commitment to SRCS’s policies, procedures and RCRC movement principles.

SRCS offers a contract of one year, renewable depending on both funding and performance.
Salary and Benefits are according to SRCS terms of employment for national staff.
