Job Title: ECO-CHAMPION’S YOUTH MENTORS ( 5 Positions)
Location: Mogadishu
Duration: six months
Report to: Eco-Champions Project Coordinator.
Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and experienced mentors to support and guide youth-led initiatives focused on critical global issues such as Climate change, gender equality, renewable energy, sustainable farming, and leadership development. If you have expertise in one or more of the following areas and are committed to empowering the next generation of environmental activists, we invite you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the management of the Eco-Champion project coordinator, plan and organize the implementation of the Mentorship activities in line with the budget.
· Cultural Competency: Provide mentorship to young leaders from similar cultural backgrounds, ensuring a deep understanding of their cultural context, including local linguistic, religious, and ethnic factors.
· Contribution to Eco Champions Youth Initiatives: Actively contribute to the implementation and success of Eco Champions youth initiatives by providing practical insights, strategic guidance, and encouragement to help young people execute their projects.
· Expertise and Experience: Offer specialized guidance and knowledge in areas such as:
o Climate Change
o Gender Equality
o Renewable and Clean Energy
o Sustainable Lifestyles
o Sustainable / SMART Farming
o Project Management
o Public Speaking / Pitching
o Budgeting Skills and Personal Finances
o Leadership Development
o Self-confidence Building
o Networking and Personal Branding
· Motivation and Commitment: Engage fully in the mentoring process, committing to at least 3 sessions (60 minutes each). We recommend a commitment of 4-6 sessions to provide continued support.

Skills and qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in environmental study, climate change, or Expertise in one or more of the specified areas.
· Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area, such as guidance and counselling, social sciences, community development and social work.
· Minimum of 1-3 years relevant work experience in youth programmes, guidance and counselling, entrepreneurship skills programme and social business management.
· Experience in implementing youth programme at a managerial level
